Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Elite World Cup 2026 ("the App"), operated by an individual, NZN (nznofficial.com) — not an incorporated company (the "Operator", "we", "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance & eligibility

You confirm you are at least 16 and able to form a binding agreement. (16 is a conservative GDPR digital‑consent floor; COPPA applies under 13 in the US.)

2. The service

The App is a soccer match‑prediction and mini‑game companion for the 2026 World Cup, provided free and "as is." Features and availability may change at any time. Match data, scores, and news come from third parties and may be delayed or inaccurate. The App is for entertainment only.

3. Accounts & authentication

Sign‑in is handled by Supabase Auth via Google OAuth or an email magic link. We do not create or store passwords. You are responsible for access to the email/Google account you sign in with and for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• post unlawful, offensive, or infringing content (including in your display name);
• scrape, crawl, or harvest data, or make automated/bulk requests;
• circumvent rate limits, authentication, Row Level Security, or other controls;
• probe, attack, overload, or disrupt the App or its data providers;
• falsify predictions, scores, or leaderboard standings, or impersonate others.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

5. No wagering

Predictions and the mini‑game are for entertainment only. The App is not a gambling or real‑money service; no stakes, wagers, or monetary prizes are offered or accepted.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its branding, design, and code are owned by the Operator (NZN). You retain ownership of content you submit (display name, predictions) and grant the Operator a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to store and display it within the App (e.g. on the public leaderboards) to operate the service; this licence ends when you delete the content or your account (subject to residual backups). Third‑party names, logos, crests, and data belong to their owners and are used for identification only. The App is not affiliated with or endorsed by FIFA or any football body.

7. Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which covers data rights and account deletion.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, uninterrupted/error‑free operation, or accuracy/timeliness of data. You use the App at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. As the App is free, the Operator's total aggregate liability shall not exceed USD $0 or the minimum the law requires.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or to protect the App. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account, permanently removing your profile, predictions, and scores. Sections that should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes update the "Last updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the California state and federal courts, subject to mandatory consumer‑protection rights in your country of residence.
